April the 12th. A date that has been marked into the diaries of the entire country for months.
Wind, snow, rain or shine, nothing was going to stop people in England heading to their favourite pub, bar or restaurant for that long-awaited cold drink enjoyed with friends.
And it isn’t just hospitality that has had to green light to reopen. From today, people in England can finally head to the hairdressers or beauty salons, non-essential shops can reopen, and fitness fans can get back to the gym.
Many hospitality venues are already fully booked for this week, which highlights the country’s eagerness to get back to dining out.
Liam Norval, CEO of Posh Cockney and Co-Founder of Hospitality Titans has already been checking things off his to do list.
“I am absolutely thrilled that some businesses are able to reopen today. I have personally been to the gym this morning and I‘ve had my hair cut. I’m delighted to be able to get back out and support local businesses again. Our clients at Posh Cockney are over the moon to be getting back to some sort of normality. The nation needs it.”
“It’s something that we have taken for granted over many many years, the simple things like getting together with friends or getting your hair cut. The simple pleasures have never been more important. I just hope that everyone is sensible, and we can move on to the next stage of the reopening.”
Now, all focus looks to the 17th of May. When, all going to plan, indoor dining will be allowed in England. As we have come to know all to well, plans and roadmaps can change, often with very little notice. So, we have everything crossed that things stay on track.
From all of us at Hospitality Titans we wish all of the businesses reopening today the very best of luck, and hope for a successful and profitable second half of the year.
The relaxation of restrictions means that the Hospitality Titans can finally look to our 2021 networking events. Keep your eyes peeled for more information coming very soon.
